From Vichy
From the main highway, drive towards Vichy. You enter Vichy via a bridge over the Allier river. Right after you cross the bridge, turn right. Take the next main exit at left. There are signs with the words: ‘Cusset’ and ‘gare’ (which means ‘station’ in French). Right after you pass the station, you keep to the right, heading towards Cusset, over the railroad bridge. You continue to follow this road. In Cusset, you take the road leading towards ‘Mayet de Montagne’. In Mayet de Montagne, you take the road leading towards ‘La Loge des Gardes’. You follow this road for about 2 kilometers after La Chabanne. On the road between La Chabanne and La Loge des Gards – the D177 – on the left, you’ll see a dirt road. On the corner is a large waste container, a mailbox and a sign directing you to ‘la Grande Serve’. Follow this road and turn left at every intersection. After about 1.5 kilometers – the first time, it will seem like more – you arrive at la Grand Serve.
From Roanne
In Roanne, take the road towards ‘La Loge Des Gardes’ and ‘Renaison’. A little ways after you’ve passed Renaison, you go left, taking the direction of ‘La Loge des Gardes’. Keep driving towards ‘La Loge des Gardes’ until you arrive at a T- intersection, the D-177. You’ll see the sign indicating La Chabanne at right. You’ll pass through various hamlets. Right after the exit towards ‘Bruyeres’ on the left, you’ll see a waste container standing on the right side of the road. There, you’ll find a dirt road leading to la Grande Serve. Follow this road and turn left at every intersection. After about 1.5 kilometers – the first time, it will seem like more – you arrive at la Grand Serve.
